General Information for contact lens wearers:

All the Lenses except coloured ones are purchasable only with focus power, for vision correction. Only an eye care professional can tell whether contact lenses are right for you.

How to use your lenses.

Adhere to the wear and replacement regime and the lens care instructions provided by your eye care professional.
What are the risks with contact lenses?

Although rare, some eye problems can occur. Therefore, it’s important to talk to your eye care professional about wearing and caring for your lenses.
Are some people not able to wear contact lenses?

Only your eye care professional can determine if contact lenses are right for you. If your eye care professional has recommended contact lenses for you, you should not wear them if you are experiencing an eye infection, or develop eye discomfort, more than usual tearing, vision fluctuations, eye redness or other problems. If one of these situations should occur, talk to your eye care professional.
Here is an interesting quality of the Acuvue Oasys:

These lenses block about 96% of UV-rays and 99% of UV-B rays
They greatly reduce harmful UV radiation transmitting to the corneal surface and into the eye. One thing to remember is: UV-absorbing contact lenses are not a substitute for protective UV eyewear such as UV-absorbing sunglasses or goggles because they do not totaly cover the eye and general area. You should still use UV-absorbing eyewear as directed. Warning: Lengthy exposure to UV radiation is a risk factor related to cataracts. The degree of risk is based on a many things such as environmental conditions (cloud cover, geography, altitude ) and lifestyle factors (time spent outdoors and the nature of that activity). UV-Blocking contact lenses help against harmful UV rays, but formal studies have not been done to prove wearing UV-Blocking contact lenses helps reduce the risk of cataracts or other ocular problems. Ask your contact lens fitter for more information.
These were the world's first disposable contact lenses. They allow seven days of extended wear! You can put them in, wear them without interruption for a week, and then toss them out. You can even sleep with them on. They are so oxygen-permeable and thin that the eye is not irritated.

The Acuvue extended wear contact reacts well with the natural liquid of the eye and is primarily made of water. You may take them out at night and wear them as a normal daily-wear disposable lens during a two-week period as opposed to wearing them steady for one week. UV blocking is of course a normal part of the lens and they have a slight tint for easier handling. Another handy add on is the inside-out marking which makes it easy to see if the lens is inside out or not.
